Every season, Pantone, the worldwide master of colours, releases their official colours. Actually, they release official colour reports for not only every season, but every year has a colour of the year and even every single day has an official colour. Every season, and every year is different. Most people would assume that the colours of Autumn are yellow, orange, red, brown, and sometimes navy blue and hunter green. But in reality, it’s much more complex than that with different shades and layers to each colour.
The colour selections are decided well in advance of the season after careful trend mapping and tracking pop culture and major events. They seek out shades around the globe that will peek consumers interest, ultimately predicting consumer spending and in doing so, they pinpoint what colours will be the standouts in that wedding season.
