Most brides can attest to the challenge that is choosing your bridesmaids. How do you narrow down your friends, family members and your future hubby’s family into a small group without offending anyone? By the time most couples get engaged, they have more than one friend group to pick from (in addition to family). So how do you chose? Do you go with your longest friends? Your newer friends that know your significant other the best? Family only?
Well, we’ve found a point system for you to make this difficult decision much easier. This point guide takes your already narrowed down candidates and helps you finalize your selections. There is of course a lot more thought that goes into picking the lovely ladies that will stand by your side, but this system will help you slim that list down to your ideal wedding party size in a fair manner.
Before we get started though, a quick fun fact! Did you know the origin of the bridesmaids was to ward off thieves and evil spirits? It’s true. Bridesmaids would dress just like the bride in order to confuse evil spirits, those who wished to cause harm to the bride or thieves who were hoping to steal the brides’ dowry. Bridesmaids have your back in every sense of the word!
