Engagement Film – Andre’s Proposal

We have quite the special video treat for you today! Brightside Film’s very own viral video! The couple featured in this film is actually getting married tomorrow so in honour of their big day we’d like to share their proposal video with you. This video has already touched so many hearts with over 250,000 views on Youtube. We’ll be filming their wedding this weekend which will no doubt be filled with more romantic moments, so stay tuned to the blog for their highlight reel to pop up on Wedding Wednesdays later this year.

Over a year ago we were contacted by Andre who was planning on proposing to his girlfriend Kimberly and wanted to capture it on film. Now, this wasn’t your ordinary, run of the mill proposal. Andre, ever the romantic, planned out a series of instruction stations for Kimberly – complete with candles, roses and love letters leading up to the big moment. He created fake invitations to a fabricated event so Kimberly knew to get dolled up. Her sister was in on the plan so the two of them went to get their hair and make up done. When they returned, her sister gave her letter #1:

   “Today is the day our lives would change. Follow each card to each step of the way.
Also don’t be afraid there will be a videographer and photographer following you”.

He bought her an outfit and laid it out for her with the directions:

   “Take this dress that I bought for you and put it on. Heels and accessories are also waiting
for you. When you are done with make up please make your way back downstairs and out
the front door. Use this room key and meet me at Hilton Suites.”

Kimberly then left in a limo and was met with more roses and love letters upon arrival at the hotel. Finally, surrounded by their closest friends and family (who Andre had arranged to be there) and with a live pianist serenading them, Andre proposed.
